Finished Basement Flooring Products Near Middletown, New City, Poughkeepsie

Basement finishing flooring in Middletown & nearby

Get more from your floor

The finished floor in a basement needs to be beautiful, durable, easy to clean and immune to damage from moisture and mold.

Of all the surfaces in your home, your floor is the one you are in contact with most often. If you use inappropriate flooring in a basement environment, it will soak up cold from the concrete below, making your space uncomfortable underfoot. This is different from your naturally warm floors upstairs.

The Basement Transformer provides many different finished basement flooring options, all of which are designed to keep your basement warm, comfortable, and beautiful for many years to come.

We offer our basement finishing services throughout New York, including Poughkeepsie, Middletown, New City and areas nearby. Call today to schedule a free estimate!

Install a finished floor in your basement that's made to last

Since basements are vulnerable to humidity from the concrete below, it's important that your flooring will not be damaged by moisture. Organic materials like wood and carpeting will eventually grow mold, mildew, and rot.

Basement wood-like plank flooring

ThermalDry wood-look plank flooring

ThermalDry® Elite Plank Flooring

ThermalDry® Elite Plank Flooring imitates the look of long, thin wood planks that you might find throughout the rest of your home. But because they are made out of inorganic materials, ThermalDry® planks will stand the test of time in a basement environment. They are available in Light Pecan and Dark Walnut.

Advantages over real wood plank flooring:

  • Won't absorb water and swell, buckle, rot, or grow mold.
  • Lock together and are easy to install, clean, and replace.
  • Can make a floor up to 10 degrees warmer by creating a thermal break.
  • Low profile maximizes headroom.

Basement Flooring in a home

ThermalDry® tiled basement flooring

ThermalDry® Tiled Basement Floor Tiles

ThermalDry® basement floor tiles are engineered for basement environments. Although these square tiles look like stone or ceramic tile, they’re designed to install easier and last longer in a basement. Two tile colors are available: Sandstone and Canyon Beige.

Advantages over stone, ceramic, and marble tile:

  • Tiles simply snap together with interlocking joints; no mastic or grout is required.
  • Warmer underfoot than stone or ceramic tile. ThermalDry® tile has a thermal break that keeps the tile surface 8-10° F warmer than concrete below.
  • Snap-together assembly makes ThermalDry® tiles much easier to remove, replace & repair.
  • Tiles won't absorb moisture or attract mold.
  • All square ThermalDry® tiles can be combined with each other.
  • Transition strips are available that snap into ThermalDry® tiles.

Advantages over traditional carpeting:

  • Tiles simply snap together with interlocking joints; no adhesive or fasteners are required.
  • Waterproof design will not support mold, mildew, odors, or rot.
  • Unique tiled design installs with no need for a subfloor or carpet pad.
  • Snap-together assembly makes ThermalDry® tiles much easier to remove, replace, & repair.

ThermalDry® basement subflooring

ThermalDry® Basement Sub Floor Matting

ThermalDry® technology isn’t just used in our unique line of finished basement flooring. The same square, interlocking tile design can be applied to basement subfloor matting. These grey matting tiles provide a perfect subfloor when installing carpeting in your basement.

Advantages over wood subflooring:

  • 100% waterproof and immune to mold damage.
  • A thermal break causes the tile surface to be 8-10° F warmer than concrete below.
  • Compatible with tack strips for wall-to-wall carpeting.
  • Extremely durable and strong.
  • No adhesive or fasteners required to install subfloor matting.
  • More stain resistant & easier to clean than wood subflooring.
